Tattoo & Piercing Academy is a training programme for beginners with zero or little experience who wish to become professional tattoo artists or body piercing artists. We developed this course with professionals!
Our tattoo training courses are taught by current tattoo artists with a minimum of 10 years industry experience. We will only place you with highly experienced tutors who are dedicated professionals in the tattooing industry and have a passion for sharing their vast wealth of knowledge and skills in a way which will bring out your own creative talents. Our tutors are here to help you develop in to a confident tattoo artist, their experiences from the past and continually developing skills of the present will make sure you stand out from the crowd.
We want to make it easy for students that have good artistic ability to learn tattooing in a program that will cover everything they need to know to put their art on human skin.
The courses
The basic tattoo and hygiene course covers machine and station set up, types of needles to be used, safe waste and needle disposal. As well as the basic techniques needed for designing, shading, colouring and line work. This will all be practiced on fake skin.
The cost of this course is £2500 and is spread over a 10 day period consisting of 2 x 5 days
Tattoo course
includes 30 full day session, one-to-one training.
The structure of the course combines live tutorials to observe the artist and learn techniques as well as practicing the techniques for yourself under supervision.
All of the professional Black Ink Artists will guide you to learn your own style and gain the skills needed to tattoo clients.
This is an in depth course spread over a 6 month to one year period which allows you time to develop your technique and professional practices. Giving you the confidence to tattoo customers at a high industry standard.
We cover all health and safety aspects to fully insure you know how to keep your customer safe.
We do not rush the course as it is not enough time to develop your skill and learn to a professional standard.
So you would be doing your live training with us on a Tuesday or Wednesday along with practice through the week of what we cover in the live training to fully absorb what you have learned and develop your skills.
At the end of the course you will receive a Black Ink Approved Junior Artist certificate and offered a chance to work with us.
The full course cost is £15,000 and this course will give you a future as an artist with huge earning potential.
We have trained lots of apprentices in the past who have gone on to have huge success
There’s an option if you’re willing to learn and stay at Black Ink then the course it will be free of charge but you will have to sign a contract for two years to work for our company.
I hope this information explains enough of the goal I create for the youngest to have a career .. yes I know it’s an expensive course but that is not two weeks or three weeks course as you would never learn in short period to become a professional artist.

Requirements
All students looking at attending one of our course’s must be over the age of 18. This is due to law and legislations as tattooing a minor is illegal, therefore the tattooist must also be of the legal required age.
It is not compulsory for you to have any experience or art qualifications, however we do require that you have basic drawing skills.
